Late Night With Seth Meyers: Matthew Broderick is Scared to Play a Real Person

Seth Meyers came back to late night with his analysis of the Oscars and his usual scathing of Donald Trump.   However one of the highlights was definitely his guest Matthew Broderick.  As you might know Broderick has recently been cast to play former FEMA chief Michael Brown in Ryan Murphy’s new show about Hurricane Katrina which is part of the American Crime Story series on FX.  The drama will be focusing on the events that took place in New Orleans during and after the devastating Hurricane ravaged the city.

Meyers had a chance to catch up with Broderick and ask him about the role.   When Broderick was asked about his role he said that he was “scared” to play a real person.   Broderick admitted he didn’t know much about Michael Brown and that the situation was handled in the “best way that it could have been.”  Broderick revealed he never really got to play a real person and that the task was challenging.

While Broderick has played real people who have died over 100 years ago he’s curious what it’ll be like to play a real person who will actually be watching the program and dissecting whether or not the accounts of what they said are true.  Check out the interview below:
