We’re over 4 seasons removed from Linsanity and somehow Jeremy Lin is still relevant in the NBA. This is a man who I consider to be the smartest guy in the entire league. It’s not because he went to Harvard. It’s because he’s stretched Linsanity into the longest career that shouldn’t be a long career in the history of the NBA. Not to mention millions and millions of dollar for basically not ever having to play a full season because of injury. This is a guy who once in a while has a great game, shows some talent and turns it into millions of dollars.
However, by far what’s been keeping him relevant are his ridiculous hairstyles. His most recent cut has outdone even cartoon character Jimmy Neutron himself. You might remember in his Knicks days it was just a clean cut Lin who looked like a normal human being. Over the years it’s been cornrows, spiked hair that’s higher than Kid N’ Play, that ugly shaved under a bed of long hair look, and now this.
He’s barely been on the court this season yet he’s the Brooklyn Nets player that draws the most attention. Lin’s 28 now and is supposed to be in his prime. Is anyone going to get over this guy? Trust me when I say Linsanity was one of the best things ever. Speaking as a New York Knicks fan, it was extraordinary but nothing’s come close to that for Lin since. This hair is absurd.
