On Thursday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Adam’s kidnapper and all that happened because of that deal is changing the game as fans know it. Billy seems to know all about the deal that Phyllis made with Natalie, yet no one seems to know that Phyllis is the one that had the entire thing orchestrated. She is a mother and she wanted to protect her son. So she goes in there, he seems to have second thoughts, and she convinces him that what they are doing is the right thing and that Natalie is doing what she needs to do. That’s when Natalie appears and Victoria comes in shortly after, upset that she is in the room in the first place. She’s not happy about it, and she wants to know what is going on.
Things are not going well for Adam as he has he father at the house visiting, and then his wife walks in and has some words for her father-in-law. It gets even uglier when Chelsea starts telling him that she knows that the and Luca are working together and that he lied to her. Marisa told her everything, and she is not happy about the entire situation. She’s even angrier when she finds out that Adam is only pretending to work with Luca to help his father take down Luca’s family, and that’s how he has gotten their trust. However, he does not want Chelsea to tell Marisa and she is furious. She doesn’t want him involved with his father at all and she tells him that he is blind to what is really happening, which is that Victor is changing him completely. Does Adam see that his wife can tell that he is not making the best decisions right now and that working with Victor is not the best idea he’s had all day long?
It turns out that Phyllis is actually in the midst of a conversation with Victor about it, and he wants her and Jack to keep their distance. He is especially worried that Jack will come near Adam and he does not want that to happen. For that reason, he all but threatens Jack, who does not seem to care much at all. Victor tells him and tells Phyllis that whomever it was that kidnapped his son will be caught, and Phyllis doesn’t believe him. Naturally, since she is the kidnapper and she has no intention of being caught in the middle of whatever Victor has going on at the moment. All she wants to do is ensure that he goes down for his many horrible deeds.
Dylan is hard at work ignoring the fact that Sharon continues to worry. He pulls Natalie to the side and asks her about the kidnapper and all that happened with that situation. She is not sure what to tell him, so she tells him that she has no idea who it was or what happened. He doesn’t believe her, but he’s not of the mindset that she is working with the kidnapper. In fact, he believes that Natalie is scared for her life and will not reveal any information to him because she is scared that the perp will come after her and harm her. He has no idea she’s working with the kidnapper, knows her identity and has no problem keeping it to herself.
Dylan won’t give up, though; he and Kevin keep at it and keep at it, making sure that they are aware that there is a kidnapper out there they have to find. Both suspect that it was Billy, but the fact he was slightly indisposed in the hospital in a coma with major injuries after being run over is kind of a deal breaker for their suspicions. Yet it never occurs to either one of them that Phyllis might do whatever it takes to protect her son. However, they both decide that as unlikely as it is, it would be hilarious if the kidnapper were Nikki since she seems to want to make Victor pay all day long. They know it is not her, but they wish that it was so that their job would be a bit more entertaining.
