This year’s event held additional significance as it marked the first public appearance of Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, since her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
The royals were warmly welcomed by crowds in central London as they traveled in carriages from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade. Kate rode alongside her children—10-year-old George, nine-year-old Charlotte, and six-year-old Louis—as part of the grand procession.
