We’ve reached Guilt‘s halfway point to finding out definitively who killed Molly Ryan. fThe pressure is heating up for those with something to hide, which serves better to honor the late Molly’s memory. Even better is that though Molly’s killer hasn’t yet been revealed, at least one suspect is definitively ruled out and could even provide clues as to who really did commit the murder. If this week made anything clear it’s that even if Grace didn’t murder Molly, she and her boyfriend Luc are anything but innocent.
Following Luc’s arrest, Grace is left on her own. Her sister spent the night more than a little preoccupied with Detective Sergeant Bruno. Unable to get ahold of Natalie, the only help Grace receives shielding her from out of control paparazzi is a stranger. Unfortunately this stranger turns out to be Molly’s stalker, a boy named Neville. Years of torment by bullies made him too sympathetic to those he saw as being bullied on social media. When Grace tries to get away from him, he knocks her out, then she stabs him and makes a break for it once she wakes up. Natalie and Bruno only barely manage to save Grace before Neville could attack Grace with scissors. Natalie and Bruno also form a strong bond quickly while looking for Grace.
It doesn’t matter that Bruno is off Molly’s case, the prince still expects him to do his part in closing Molly’s murder investigation. By that he means planting evidence. Neville gives Bruno the perfect opportunity given all the charges he faces. Unfortunately the simple deduction that Neville was left-handed while Molly’s killer was right-handed saves Bruno from having to frame Neville for the murder.
While all this is going on Patrick isn’t asking for permission to find his sister’s murderer. He blackmails a member of Parliament to get him into the club where Molly worked. After nearly getting caught by security, Roz’s girlfriend Kaley saves Patrick by whisking him away into one of the rooms. Unfortunately Kaley is gone long enough that she misses her scheduled appointment with the prince, who is already on the edge after losing Molly. Roz covers for Kaley with everyone, but by the end of the night their boss Finch knows that Patrick stole the club ledger. Even more worrisome for those with something to hide, Patrick notices that Molly really only serviced one client, Gentleman 33. Three guesses who that is.
In the meantime Stan works very hard to free Luc from Gwendolyn’s clutches. She is determined to prove that Grace and/or Luc killed Molly, and she doesn’t care to entertain the possibility that either one of them could be innocent. However it may be that Grace and Luc actually did kill Molly. Grace is just a little too comfortable dressing up to visit Luc in jail before going clubbing with Natalie. She’s also practically purring at the idea of some secret she and Luc share that the police aren’t aware of.
Did Grace really murder Molly, or is she just a terrible friend and fantastic liar?
