A Halloween photo of Teen Mom reality TV star Tyler Baltierra has sparked a heated online debate, with critics calling his outfit inappropriate for a family celebration.
The reality star faced backlash after sharing pictures of himself in his costume alongside his wife, Catelynn Lowell, and their three young daughters on Saturday, October 31.
While some questioned his choice of outfit, others accused critics of applying a double standard to men’s bodies.
One Reddit user fumed, “This is so messed up! Men like this have no business raising daughters. What a weirdo.”

The couple attracted widespread attention after deciding to place their first daughter, Carly, for open adoption because they felt unprepared to raise a child at such a young age.
Their story later continued on the spin-off Teen Mom, which followed their relationship, family life, and personal struggles over the years.
Tyler and Catelynn eventually married in August 2015 and welcomed three more daughters together.
Outside reality television, Baltierra has developed an interest in fitness and bodybuilding and regularly shares pictures of his physique and workout progress on social media.
However, his latest Halloween photos have drawn attention for a different reason.
The controversy erupted after Tyler shared Halloween pictures of himself dressed as Nightwing, a DC Comics superhero, on his Instagram over the weekend.

Several users argued the outfit was “wildly inappropriate” for a photo meant to capture a holiday celebration alongside his wife and young daughters.
The discussion quickly turned into a broader debate about whether men and women are judged differently for wearing revealing outfits.
One commenter wrote, “That’s like saying a woman with large breasts is inappropriate. Some of us are just bigger, should we not be allowed to wear costumes?”
Another added, “This is like saying women need to hide their b**bs. So inappropriate.”
A third user came to Tyler’s defense, directing their comment at female critics: “If your t*ts are spilling out of the top or we can see ni**le, maybe save it for the adults-only parties.”
Another defended his choice, saying, “Why are you s**ualizing him? He dresses this way for HIM!”

Some also suggested that the latest controversy was part of a recurring pattern, with one person commenting, “He did that last year too. The usual suspect…”
Others expressed, “He knows what he’s doing. It’s intentional. And it’s f**king gross. Like wear appropriate underwear.”
One user questioned, “Why would you want to have a bulge doing an innocent thing like trick or treating (or at any point) with your kids?”
This is not the first time Baltierra has found himself at the center of a Halloween costume controversy.
In 2025, he faced similar criticism after sharing a picture of himself in a tight-fitting Superman bodysuit with Catelynn and their family.
The photo drew comments from followers who objected to the visible outline of his groin area, with some even accusing him of not wearing underwear.

Tyler and Catelynn later discussed the incident on their podcast, Cate & Ty Break It Down, where he explained that he was simply excited to take a Halloween picture with his wife and hadn’t considered how the costume might look to others.
“I’m not the first dad to ever be Superman, OK? I’m not the first guy to ever wear a motherf**king Superman suit for Halloween,” he said.
“I don’t think I have to moderate or pay attention as much as other people do,” he said. “I think it’s bulls**t that people really think I’m going commando in a f**king Superman suit? Are you kidding me?”
Tyler doubled down, saying, “You can’t do nothing about that, so what do you want me to do?”
“If you want me to f**king tuck it, tape it, wrap it, whatever you think I should do, then I hope you’re saying that to every other female, every other dude, every other person who is wearing something [tight or form-fitting]! I’m covered head to toe in a suit!”
As of this writing, the family’s photos from this year’s Halloween celebration have not been removed.
