Five Things You Didn’t Know about T.I. and Tiny

T.I. is an American hip-hop artist who is best-known for the album Paper Trail, which was released in 2008. However, it is interesting to note that he has also written a couple of novels and acted in a number of roles. Meanwhile, Tiny is Tameka “Tiny” Harris, an American singer-songwriter who won a Grammy Award for her writing contribution to TLC’s “No Scrubs” but is best-known in her own right as a member of the R&B quartet Xscape. Together, the one-time couple have six children, with the eight of them making up the stars of the VH1 reality TV show T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle, which has just come to a rather abrupt conclusion.

Here are five things that you may or may not have known about T.I. and Tiny:

Followed Up on T.I.’s Road to Redemption

In 2008 and 2009, T.I. filmed a reality TV show called T.I.’s Road to Redemption, which was focused on the short period of time before his sentencing for a couple of gun felonies. In it, he spoke about his mistakes as well as the lessons that he learned from making those mistakes, which was supposed to help other people from making the same mistakes that he did. Furthermore, the reality TV show covered events from T.I.’s life such as the birth of his son as well as the release of his sixth album.

Tiny and Shekinah’s Weave Trip

With that said, it is interesting to note that Tiny was also in another reality TV show besides T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle. In brief, she co-starred in Tiny and Shekinah’s Weave Trip on VH1 with her best friend Shekinah Anderson, which saw the two traveling across the United States in a mobile hair salon. Hence the name Tiny and Shekinah’s Weave Trip.

Contributed a Lot to VH1 Success

In recent times, VH1 has managed seven consecutive quarters of improvement in its ratings, which has been attributed to its focus on reality TV shows. Something that is supported by the success of reality TV shows that range from Basketball Wives to RuPaul’s Drag Race. In particular, this success has been attributed to VH1’s focus on pop culture-related reality TV shows, with T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle being an excellent example.

Ended Because of Allegations of Cheating

Unfortunately for fans for the reality TV show, T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle came to a conclusion on May 29 of 2017. It was not unexpected because of stories about the one-time couple’s impending divorce after Tiny filed for divorce back in December, but it cannot be denied that it felt rather abrupt in a sense. Regardless, the final episode included a segment in which Tiny accused T.I. of cheating on her with someone that she had hired, which led to a serious argument on the TV screen.

VH1 Interested In a Spin-off

With that said, fans of the reality TV show might be glad to know that the people at VH1 are interested in securing either a follow-up or a spin-off of some sort to T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle. They have expressed positive sentiments about working with the one-time couple as well as their interest in seeing what will continue to happen. In fact, it wouldn’t even be particularly unusual because so many of VH1’s reality TV shows have had spin-offs of their own.
