Hope Hicks has had quite a career thus far and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. As of now she is the interim White House Communications Director, a position she has earned through her hard work and effort for the current POTUS and his administration. She is perhaps one of the youngest women to have ever been admitted to such a position and despite this seems uniquely capable of handling it. Her poise and direction are strong enough to allow her to stay on task and get done what is needed in order to serve the White House and the POTUS. At this moment she seems untouchable, as she is in a position that is making good use of her skills.
Here are a few things you might not know about her.
5. She was a model at age 11.
Hicks has been active in modeling for Ralph Lauren ads, novel covers, and a variety of other projects in her life. She’s been a driven individual for a good number of years and has shown that she has the intelligence and the skill to succeed and to thrive in almost anything she does. Even with a modeling career she managed to keep an eye on her studies and continue on through college.
4. She joined the Trump organization full time in 2014.
Up until this point she’d been working with the Trump family in a couple of different ventures as of 2011 and 2012. She’d already been able to get used to working with Ivanka and Donald Trump so it’s no stretch of the imagination that she would eventually go to work for them full-time. It was the next logical step in a career that has thankfully allowed her to go quite far.
3. She was asked personally by Trump to be his press secretary.
Hope was 26 when Trump called her into his office and asked her to be his press secretary. Up until that point she’d worked with the Trump organization but never dipped into politics. With Trump running for the seat of president he was adamant about having her on his staff as the press secretary. It was an offer that she would have been rather foolish to say no to.
2. She and her boyfriend broke up due to the amount of time she spent on the campaign.
The downside of being a press secretary and being busy on a constant basis is that it can take a heavy toll on one’s relationships. She and her boyfriend eventually broke up during the campaign as he was apparently not willing to take second place to her job. The argument to that of course is that if you knew what she did for a living you should have made that decision a while back.
1. She was recently made the interim White House Communications Director.
As of now she is the interim White House Communications Director. It’s a bit ironic really since the former Director, Anthony Scaramucci, said that she was one of the people that would not be getting fired on his watch.
Hope Hicks seems untouchable at this point, for her sake let’s hope it stays that way.
