Michael Avenatti is not the type of person that shies away from the camera as he takes to the news and whatever show will have him on to air the grievances that he has on the behalf of his clients. As the articles about a possible, even eventual movie based on the Trump and Stormy Daniels facade might one day come up, it’s kind of interesting to think of who might play Avenatti and who would do it best. One idea that came to mind, don’t laugh, or do, was George St. Pierre, the famed MMA fighter. He’s acted before and done fairly well, and he’s got the look and the size that might make it work. But he does have a rather thick accent that might be hard to get around so it could be that he’d be an honorary mention but nothing that would really stick. Of course if you, the reader, have any other ideas in mind for who might be perfect I’d love to hear them.
Here are the men that might be able to pull off the role of Michael Avenatti.
5. Vin Diesel
It has to be said that it’d be all about acting talent and less about looks, but it’s kind of important to get things as accurate as possible. Vin Diesel has showed in the past that he’s more than just an action star, and he’s even dressed up in a suit if you can recall the movie Boiler Room and some of his earlier films. He does have kind of an imposing manner to him but he can tone it down pretty easily or get fired up if the occasion calls for it. You might look at the muscles and think that he’s just not cut out for it, but there are many things that can be done to alter a person’s body in a safe manner so as to make them resemble someone else.
4. Ewan McGregor
Ewan would be a great choice simply because he’s a great actor. His accent is pretty thick but he’s already shown that he can suppress it and sound just as American as the next person. Plus the acting talent of this guy is amazing since he’s been in so many different films that have called for so many different roles that he’s kind of like a chameleon in what he can do. He does have the same type of facial expressions a lot of times but this is something that a lot of people work with and can be modified in a way that will allow him to fit the role in the manner that he needs to. In other words he’s one of the best options since he can get the job done.
3. Sam Rockwell
Sam is the kind of guy that can be funny, scary, pathetic, and almost evil all in the same film and yet pull it off in a way that makes you respect his acting skills at the same time you’re either hating or loving his character. He’s played some truly irritating characters, some bad ones, some psychotic ones, and some very fun and engaging characters as well. But he can do serious and dramatic just as well as anyone and the beauty of his act is that he’s basically just hitting his stride as an actor. He’s been around for quite some time but it feels as though he still has a lot to give and a great deal of talent yet to explore.
2. Clive Owen
Clive Owen is simply a class act since he’s the kind of guy that usually pulls off very authoritative roles and nails them perfectly. This is one big reason why he would be such a good draw since it makes sense to put someone in there that can act the part and even look like they belong there. His accent is kind of hard to hide since even in Sin City it was peeking out every now and then, but that can usually be forgiven since plenty of actors that have played the parts of Americans who, in real life, had no accents have been given a pass most of the time since they have managed to perform so well.
1. Mark Ruffalo
Mark might be one of the best choices for this role simply because he is a firm and very vocal individual when it comes to his dislike for Donald Trump. While he couldn’t really let that personal bias come out in the film he would still be an ideal candidate since he’s a very talented and outspoken man that knows how to project his voice and his confidence in a way that makes him all the more convincing on the screen. Plus he does have the ability to take on various roles that call for different mannerisms, so he would be a good fit for this role.
Any one of these men seem like they’d nail the role fairly easily, but honestly and truly I’d like to hear more suggestions.
