You wouldn’t know it by watching him in action on the reality television series, but it’s true. Prior to the beginning of shooting the series, he mentioned that he would rather keep his private life out of the spotlight. He believed that the emphasis of the show would center around his career and the methods that he employs in his trade, but this didn’t turn out to be the case. 2. Eklund is a tender hearted romantic
This doesn’t exactly fit the description of the amazing real estate broker that we see on television, but it does describe Fredrik, the man in his personal life. His marriage to now wife, Derek Kaplan in 2013 was a beautiful ceremony held on an island retreat. With friends and family there to celebrate the event, both Fredrik and his bride had tears in their eyes as they exchanged their vows in a tender and touching ceremony.
3. Fredrik understands his clients better than most real estate brokers
It is because his own privacy has been interrupted, if not invaded, that makes him the perfect broker to work with celebrities in search of a new home. He values his privacy so he understands their need to maintain this elusive commodity. Even though he’s attained a good measure of success himself, he confided that he is still awe struck when he works with the rich and famous.
4. Eklund is still a hard worker who strives to fulfill obligations
Even though he’s in a good place financially and career-wise, Eklund does much of his own work. He gets to work early to answer phone calls and check email. Some days are filled with back to back meetings. He has a strong sense of integrity as it pertains to his work ethic. He’s a hard worker that finished the work at hand.
5. Fredrik Eklund was publicly assaulted by a bird
Eklund was in the middle of a video shoot when a low flying bird dive bombed him. The bird pooped directly onto his head while the cameras were rolling. It was a public assault but nothing was injured except for his pride. Although it didn’t make him happy, he hadled the situation well. After getting a little help cleaning the debris fron his hair, he was good to go in finishing the shoot.
