Action figures have been popular for quite some time as they are simply cool to look at, pose, and set up somewhere so you can admire them as they slowly collect a fine layer of dust. For kids however they’re wonderful because they provide hours and hours of fun. Does anyone happen to recall as kids though how the coolest kid in the room used to be the one that had that action figure that everyone had heard about but no one had? It was the one action figure at the time that was considered so hard to find, so cool, and could so easily cause envy among other kids that you just had to have it. There have been many such action figures throughout history, but only a handful have ever really been seen as being worth that much money to collectors. Really, you wouldn’t believe what collectors are willing to pay in order to get these pieces.
Here are just a few that could be called the most coveted action figures of all time. So far as cost goes some of these are a worth a bundle, possibly more than a new car, but others tend to fluctuate in price.

He-Man has always been awesome, but it took transforming to make his cowardly feline companion become just as great. This boxed set is valued at several thousands of dollars if left unopened, and even a grand or two if it is opened. The individual pieces however will only go for triple digits, which is still fairly impressive. This was one of the best toys to have when it came out.
4. Mego Elastic Batman
In the 1970’s toy makers had this weird idea that some toys needed to be made to be stretched and oversized so that kids could actually interact with them. As of today a few of these are actually worth a pretty penny so long as they’re in the box and intact. You wouldn’t believe how picky people can be when it comes to the most minute flaw in something that’s considered this valuable.

This was one of the toys that if you had it, you were instantly popular for at least a day or so. Some of your friends might have wanted to play with it and a couple might have had thoughts of stealing it away it was so coveted. But out of all the Star Wars toys this was one of the few that was coveted on such a scale. It’s Luke Skywalker when he’s finally a Jedi for crying out loud, of course it’s going to be popular.

This version of Batman is so insanely popular because so few were made and its design is actually unique in that it was one of the first to allow a greater range of movement. It still had a very distinct and somewhat smaller head in proportion to the rest of its body, which was odd in a way but still showed a completely different design that people hadn’t seen before.

Yep, this came as a surprise to me as well. In certain circles Hawkman is actually one of the most coveted superhero figures of all time. It doesn’t seem to matter that he never gets much play in the shows, the cartoons, or even the comics, that only seems to make him more desired and more coveted than ever.
There’s likely a lot more action figures out there that are prized by many that might disagree with this list. If any of you happen to read this I fully encourage you to step forward and let me hear your suggestions for the most coveted. It could be very interesting in fact.
