Chance The Rapper And Ziggy Marley Perform ‘Arthur’ Theme On ‘The Late Show’

It’s hard to deny that the theme song from Arthur isn’t addicting when you hear it.   This is not the theme song that was originally sung by Christopher Cross that is famous for the lyrics:  When you get caught between the Moon and New York City / I know it’s crazy, but it’s true / If you get caught between the Moon and New York City / The best that you can do,…

Rather this is a different theme song.  This is the theme song from the kids show Arthur.  These are two very different plots folks so just know what you’re getting into.  The skit on The Late Show starts with people walking by Colbert’s office singing the lyrics to the famous song.  Why this particular song is getting so much fanfare in 2017 is kind of a mystery.  For whatever reason there’s been a pretty popular meme going around with the song and last night it was performed by Chance the Rapper and Ziggy Marley.

I think you’ll find that it’s impossible not to smile while singing this song.   Maybe because the country is so divided right now, a unifying anthem is the theme to Arthur?  Honestly I don’t have a clue but when a song like this makes a revival, you don’t question it, you just sing along and enjoy the moment.

And just in case you want the theme song to the Dudley Moore film Arthur, here it is.
