Young and the Restless fans love a good love story, and it’s what makes us all happy. But there are so many couples past and present (and future) that we can’t even begin to tell you who is right for one another. We can, however, tell you who we’ve always liked best together. There are a few couples that really do come to mind when we take a moment to think it through, and we want to know if you agree. Do any of these couples make you feel good about love, or do you totally disagree with our favorites?
Nikki and Victor
There’s a part of us that has always liked to see Nikki with Jack, but she is so devious and underhanded at times that we just love her with Victor. They seem to be made for one another. She seems to be one of the very few people in Genoa City who can get under his skin in a way that really is important, and she’s one of the many people around here who actually has a chance at keeping him tame. They fight, and they fight hard. She’s not afraid of him like other people are afraid of him, and that makes us happy. She’s his equal in every way, and they will always put aside any animosity they have with one another to work together to maintain what is most important to them; the image of their family. That’s something special.
Sharon and Nick
Their love story started when they were kids. They fell in love when they were in high school, got married, and they actually managed to stay married for a long time. It wasn’t really long in the real world, but in soap opera marriage time, they were married forever and a day. They were so cute together, and they always seem to come back to one another at the end of the day. She’s always looking for him to be the person she wants, and he is always interested in saving her from whatever is going wrong in her life. She found love with someone else for a long time, and so did he, but they always manage to find their way back to one another. We realize there are plenty of people who don’t like to see them together, but that doesn’t seem to matter to anyone else at this point.
Phyllis and Jack
We can’t lie about this one. We really liked them together. She’s currently with his younger brother, Billy, and we hate that pairing. They are so not made for one another. For one, she’s entirely too mature and sure of herself for him. She’s much better suited to Jack, who is more her equal than her immature sidekick. They don’t make a great couple, but we’d love to see her end up back with Jack. They had some serious chemistry, and they were made for one another. Their relationship was never what you might call simple and loving, but they were powerful together. That makes us want to see them work this out one more time. They had so much to offer one another. Jack might still be single, but she’s wasting serious time with Billy. He’s so not for her.
Billy and Victoria
We loved them together. It was a fairly short-lived situation, but we liked it. They were just right. For some reason, she’s so much less mature and sure of herself than Phyllis, and that works better for Billy. He seems to be able to take over as the caregiver and the man who wants to take care of her, while that doesn’t ever work out for him with Phyllis. He’s always the one who seems to be a little less with her, but he and Victoria always managed to come across as a much better couple. We’d like to see them back together. It would be nice for her to find someone like Billy who cares for her in terms of what they have to do together, and she needs it now that JT is a situation she needs to forget and move on from. This is not her best year, and he could make it better.
