Since my son has taken a liking to SpongeBob Squarepants I have to say it’s one of my more well-liked children’s cartoons out there. Of all cartoons aimed at a very young demographic it’s the one show that by far as the most adult humor. There are tons of nuances and references in the show that keeps the adults occupied therefore I’m far and away more patient watching this show than any of the other stuff on my son’s menu.
However, I think it’s safe to say that if my son ever saw these pictures of what it might look like if Spongebob and his best pal Patrick were human he might feel a tad differently about the show. I must say that I’ve seen tons of these “cartoon to human” renderings and this one is way way up there on the creepy factor. Patrick reminds me of King Hippo from Mike Tyson’s Punchout. Spongebob is a new kind of creepy the likes of which I’ve never seen before.
