Arrow Photos: Old Faces Return to Star City For Laurel’s Funeral

Arrow

Familiar faces will return to Star City to bid farewell to Laurel Lance in the next all-new episode of Arrow. Laurel’s mother, Dinah (Alex Kingston), and Nyssa (Katrina Law) will both attend Laurel’s funeral, and if these photos are any indication, we may be in for an even sadder episode than this week’s was.

The images below from Arrow‘s next new episode, titled “Canary Cry,” show the members of the team attempting to deal with Laurel’s shocking death, as Oliver does his best to comfort Thea while Diggle still appears to be in shock. But it’s the pictures of Quentin looking over Laurel’s body in the hospital room that are the most heartbreaking, as the police captain must yet again say goodbye to one of his daughters.

Arrow returns with new episodes on Wednesday, April 27, at 8 p.m. on The CW. Check out the photos and The CW’s official description for “Canary Cry” below:

OLIVER, LANCE AND TEAM DEAL WITH LAUREL’S DEATH — Oliver (Stephen Amell) and the team struggle to come to terms with Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) death, especially Diggle (David Ramsey) who is overwhelmed with guilt for choosing to believe Andy (guest star Eugene Byrd) had changed.  Meanwhile, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) refuses to believe his daughter is really gone and asks Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) to help bring her back.  A recent Black Canary sighting in Star City only seems to prove his theory that Laurel isn’t actually dead.  Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Beth Schwartz.
