As we gear up for another season of American Horror Story, I decided that in times of a small lull that I’d rehash some good times with past episodes, commentary, and opinions about the show and its performers. Today I came across a pretty cool comment thread on Reddit that asked the following question: Of all the actors who have appeared in three or more season of AHS, what were your favorite performances? The question didn’t just mean who your favorite actors were. It’s more specific. You had to also include the role itself.
To no one’s surprise, Evan Peters’ portrayal of James Patrick March dominated the list. One person remarked how much he absolutely hated Peters which was a sign of just how good his acting performance was. People also gave a lot of credit to Jessica Lange. Her transition from a hardened Nun in charge of the Asylum to descending into madness was just “hauntingly beautiful” according to one comment.
