Though we mentioned James Gandolfini’s passing here on the site, I thought it would be nice to take the time to pay tribute to unquestionably the greatest role of his career, Tony Soprano on HBO. There are dozens of these online, but this one really caught my eyes as one of the best I’ve seen.
It’s by Michael Mariano and titled “When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die,” and features some of Tony’s best moments. Gandolfini’s Tony Soprano wasn’t just about good quotes. Rather, there was a physicality to his performance that was an incredibly important part of the character, and between his acting and the script he had to work with, it’s no wonder why Tony Soprano will forever be one of the all-time greatest pop culture characters.
