Actually, it was Hodgins who was narrating, NOT Sweets or Gordon. In the episode, Hodgins was the writer. And there's a deeper subplot for long-time Bones fans.

i think bones and booth should have a baby who said they should not it would be great for them to have one and this show was great this season was fantastic and i cant wait till the next to seasons to see wat happends between the two of them.
I like the dynamic of Brennan and Booth, I really do. But I can't think of a single television show that improved once the leads got together and had a baby. I prefer that they keep the romance between the secondary characters like Hodgins and Angela (which was developed really well) and leave us wanting it between the main characters.
You get two more years so see if they do get together.

Great recap, Featherlite! Have you heard from the frigging publisher yet?? ;)
I knew it was Hodges' narrating…but sub-plot- no idea. I am SO pissed that they actually did a dream sequence/hallucination…didn't I say that the week before?? Stupid show…not the best way to end what I think was their worst season.
Not sure what I think about the baby thing. Bones as a mother? *shudders*

Yes, it was HODGINS narrating (he was the novelist in the alternate reality). Hart Hanson has said that it wasn't necessarily Booth's dream, or Brennan's book, but rather "a meeting of two minds." We'll have to wait and see what that means. The narration was actually rather revealing about the real Brennan. I actually loved the episode, particularly in additional viewings. As someone said, it had a lot of things for long-time "Bones" fans.
Also, Hart Hanson said on Twitter that we have not seen the last of the Gravedigger. "Brennan should not have hit her with the briefcase like that." We'll be seeing her again.
I wouldn't mind a return of the Gravedigger. Especially if they gave her a partner. Aside from the suspended disbelief of her physically carting Booth out a window and down a fire escape, I thought she had the right mental attitude to be the Gravedigger.
It was fun to see the actors out of character. It took me a good 10 minutes to realize who C-Sync was. Vaziri was also hard to spot. It's nice to see the actors get to stretch a litte.
The narration did say a lot about Brennan. If they manage to work it into next season and stop treating her like a social idiot, I'll be thrilled.

That was Hodgins? I watched three times and couldn't tell. It makes sense though, being as he played the writer. Good catch!
I've watched Bones since the beginning to but the subplot escaped me. Hint?

There are definitely some hints ;)
I think the episode was fantastic, shocking, but great…
I liked this episode for all the in-jokes. It was written with the fans in mind. The ending (hospital scene) was disappointing for me, though.

I don't think they can afford to have another book. Do you want to see something absurd? Go here: http://www.amazon.com/Bones-Buried-Max-Allan-Coll…
Yeah, that's right. A book based on the series based on the books.
How could I have ever confused TJ Thyme's voice with John Francis Daley's?
