Young and the Restless fans just don’t care for Elena and Devon’s relationship like we did when they were first together. Honestly, we feel that she is nothing more to him than a rebound. She is someone to help him get back into the dating game and to get himself out there after losing his wife and his unborn baby. She’s not someone we dislike, of course, but he makes her miserable. It’s not that he’s bad to her, but he’s so in love with his dead wife that he has no room in his heart for her. He’s found some room for someone else, though, and he has no idea he’s feeling that way. His obsession with Amanda is anything but health, and we can see this. He cannot seem to stop with her, and he cannot seem to stay away from her.
Things are not getting better for them, either, as this test is upon them. Mark our words; they will not make it through this. They might think they can. They might try. But this is the beginning of the actual end, and there is nothing anyone can say about that to make us disagree. They will not last or make it at all. It’s too much for them to deal with, and it’s not something we can see happening. Billy, on the other hand, is hiding secrets. What else is new? Right? He’s been hiding a lot this year, but he’s going to end up hurting a lot of people with the one he’s hiding now, and he should try to think about how this will affect him, the people he loves, his family, and his friends. He’s a mess, and we aren’t sure he can be saved at this point.

Things are taking a horrible turn for Adam as he is finally growing some sort of feelings for things in his life. If we may borrow a line from the first “Frozen” movie, for the first time in forever, he is worried about someone else and their lives more than he is worried about his own. For the first time, he’s worried that he might be a bad influence on Connor, who is clearly having some life issues and some problems to handle. He’s not a good man, and we know this. But he’s also not a man who has much else to offer anyone if he is not willing to do things differently in his own life. And, you guessed it, he is not willing or ready to do that. For now, though, he will notice that he might be a bad influence, and he will finally sit down and wonder if he should change, if he can change, and if there is even a slim hope of a better life in his future.
On the flip side, we also hope that there is something for Phyllis and Abby that might work out. They are in the middle of a fight that doesn’t make much sense to us. There’s no much we can do to help this situation out, but we do think that there is more we can handle other than what is going on. They are not in a good place with one another, but they could be if they actually tried to be. Maybe. It’s slightly possible, right?
