Young and the Restless fans have been waiting years to see Adam come back. It’s not that we expected him to come back from the dead because that’s how soaps work, but the rumors have been going around for so long that it was just a matter of time. He’s not being replaced by his former actor, but he was replaced with another man. He’s been in the midst of making everyone miserable in Genoa City, and he’s been doing the best job at it. Mark Grossman is the new Adam Newman, and he’s killing it. He’s making this role his own like he’s been in it for the entirety of his life. We like him here, and we hope he’s kept around. We hope he’s impressing everyone else as much as he is impressing us. Here are a few things you didn’t already know about Mark Grossman as he continues to wreak havoc as Adam Newman.
He’s a Beast
As in, with a beauty. He played the role of the Beast in his high school production of “Beauty and the Beast,” which seems like it might just be one of the biggest and most spectacular roles around. We get it, we love it, and we want to see more of him in that role. However, we also must deduce from this bit of information that he was always interested in acting — at least from a young age. It takes a lot of guts for a young man to get up on stage in front of everyone he knows and be a beast who isn’t well liked, who doesn’t have friends, and who is a character with such a stellar reputation. He did it, though, and we assume he killed it.
He’s Worked in Other Industries
Mark Grossman is not a young man without a lot on his plate. He’s not just been an actor in his life. He’s also been a successful model — but that’s not something we assume surprises anyone, right? And he’s also been a semi-pro race car driver. He’s got a lot of talent to be able to go across the board like that. Most actors wouldn’t want to risk the chance of wrecking their looks to do something like that, and we always love it when they do things others might consider too dangerous for them. That makes us feel happy, and we kind of love it.
He’s Been in A Lot of Movies
Most of the movies he has been in are not big name movies that were box office hits, but he’s been in dozens of them. He’s been in movies with a lot of famous people, including a lot of the people that work on the daytime soap drama situation as he does. He’s even been on television with other people who have been on this show. He’s not someone who was in other soaps nearly as much as others were, but he’s had plenty of time with other soap actors. It’s a gift he has, apparently.
He’s Private, but Not Too Much
One more thing that we’ve learned about the newest Adam on the block is that he is a private man, but he doesn’t appear to be that private. He is a man who seems to know that he can live his life without everyone all up in his business all the time, but he also likes to share a bit. He has social media, and he does share some photos of himself and his life, but he’s not overly into giving the world a detailed overview of his life and the things that he’s been up to. He’s kind of good at keeping his private life to himself, and we like that about him. That’s not an easy job for someone who works in this line, and that’s probably why we are always so amazed at just how much you can get done and accomplish in a situation like this one.
Now that we know a bit more about the man behind Adam, we can also learn a few things that are going to change our lives. He might not be the same on the screen now that we know so much more about him, and that’s awesome.
