The Bold and the Beautiful couples never work out and last. While we are certain there has to be at least one couple that has managed to withstand the test of time, we really cannot think of them and what that means. There is too much partner swapping and divorce. Even couples who should be together end up married just to one another a dozen times while breaking that all up with a few marriages in between to other people. It’s nothing short of a total mess, and we love that about the show. But we also love that there are people who will make their situation work for them in a way that doesn’t seem to be much of a problem for them. And there are some couples we think should have made it, but did not make it at all.
Brooke and Bill
There will always be those who feel that she belongs with Ridge since they are the couple who goes back so far, but we totally disagree. Ridge is, underneath everything else, a pretty nice guy. He’s a nice man who seems to want to be with a family and create a life he loves, but he falls into these traps all the time. Brooke, on the other hand, is a woman who is manipulative and mean and ugly on the inside. She might not always come across that way, but she’s the kind of woman who does what she wants and she blames it on everyone else. Her entire life has been all about doing what she wants and hurting people while making them feel that it is their own fault and none of her own. Bill is just like that. He’s more aware of the fact that he is doing horrible things to other people because he wants to and that’s where he is, but they are the same person. He might be aware of who he is, but she’s convinced that all of her actions are a direct result of the way other people are. And that seems to make them a match made in heaven.
Liam and Steffy
We thought for a moment that they might be able to make things work with them, but they did not — yet. And we think that they will have another chance in the future. The reason we like them is simple — they are good together when they are together. While we also love her with herself and with her baby, we have to say there is something about the way she works with him that makes us like it. If he could grow up a bit, it might work for real. He’s not exactly man enough to make it on his own, and he needs someone who will keep him in line and make him grow up. She’s that person for him. Hope is not. She’s too much of a doormat on her own to be good for him, and that’s just where we stand with them.
Ridge and Taylor
There is a chance that they have something going on in the future, but we have to wonder if there is more that they can work out. Can they make their marriage work with one another if they have another chance to do that in the future? Will they find a way to make things work with one another later? They have both grown up a lot in the past few years, and we do wonder if that means they have a chance to make it work this time? She’s looking for love and a family, and they have that. He wants the same thing, but he’s been struggling with that with Brooke. She’s not in it to win it with this marriage, and we will likely see that fail in the new year. But Taylor is also with Reese, and that does cause some problems in our radar, if you ask us. We wonder about them, and we wonder if there is a chance they can make this work on their own? Is there something they can do to get this back together, and can they make it work if they do?
