The Five Best Sara Bareilles Songs in Movies or TV

Whether or not you know about Sara Bereilles really depends on your taste in music and if she factors into then you might have heard her and might even like her. If not, then she is definitely one of the many artists that fills a niche and therefore isn’t bound to be enjoyed by everyone. But some of her most popular songs do have kind of a bouncy feel to them that is punctuated by the light sound of her voice that breaks in at some point and gives it an even lighter sensation that brings to mind very different images for many people. Sara is one of those artists that didn’t break into the mainstream right away as she went the slow but sure route of playing in smaller venues before really stepping into her own and finally becoming a big star. At this point she’s still a very talented individual but once again, if you don’t know about her, now might be time to take a listen.

Her are some of her songs as they’ve been heard in movies and TV.

5. The Vampire Diaries – Gravity

Somewhere along the line vampire stories became more about the angst of love-ridden teenagers and those that wish to see the nighttime creatures as something other than bloodthirsty beasts that hunger for sustenance. There’s always been a certain level of romantic feeling to the classic vampire since the story behind them is rather tragic as it’s been told so many times, but relegating them to something right out of a soap opera almost seems like something that might cause the generations past to perform a full face palm without hesitation. After all, below the romantic notions they are still very dangerous creatures.

4. Glee – Love Song

A large number of people flocked to this show as though it was something they could fully relate to and embrace as their own, and it might have been for a while. Some of us might not have seen the point of the show but could at least say, with some respect, that it was fairly well done and managed to incorporate some great tracks from other artists. However you wanted to view this show it was one among many that managed to hook a lot of people in through many different means and had characters that folks looked up to and felt inspired by since the fallout of a few characters left people kind of stunned.

3. She’s Out of My League – Many the Miles

There are those times in life when you meet someone that seems so far above you in terms of looks and charm that it seems that their choice to be with you has to be due to something else. When Molly and Kirk get together it’s like watching opposites slam together rather than attract since what happens is that Kirk is so nervous around her that he simply doesn’t know how to react. It doesn’t help that each of their friends are attempting to make them realize that this match could never work. Finally the two friends realize their mistake and get Molly and Kirk back together, finding that no matter the difference in their looks and personalities that they’re meant for each other.

2. Made of Honor – Love Song

There’s something about having that right someone by you at all times that seems to make the world perfect. But when Hannah, who is Tom’s friend and has been since college, makes her way to Scotland only to return stating that she’s met someone and is getting married, his world starts tumbling down as he realizes that he loves her more than anything and can’t just let her get married without telling her how he feels. Tom tries just about everything to get her to not marry the other man, but it takes being thrown from horseback, through the chapel doors, and then being decked by the groom to be for her to finally realize that she loves him too.

1. Sara Bareilles – King of Anything

This was added in just for fun since it’s a great song and illustrates very well the idea of how bouncy and light Sara’s songs really are. They’re also quite easy to sing to since they’re not entirely complicated and are easy to follow. Her style of music is such that the beat is very simple but complex in its movement and offers the listener only a mild challenge when it comes to accepting every piece as a whole. Overall Sara is a very friendly musician, meaning that she puts a lot into her music but panders at least a little bit to the listener so that they can understand and fully enjoy her music.

Sometimes it pays to wander off the musical path you know in favor of finding the ones you don’t so that you can experience gems like Sara.
