The 3 Most Ridiculous Young and the Restless Deaths of All-Time

Young and the Restless fans have seen many fan favorites come and go. Sometimes they go of their own accord. Sometimes they are killed off and never seen again. Sometimes they are killed off and show up again a few years later with some crazy story about how they didn’t really die but have been hanging out somewhere else just biding their time while they get their lives together. They are not always the most dramatic deaths, but they are not always the least dramatic deaths, either. We all know that many of the people around here have a lot to work on, to worry about, and to deal with. And we all love to see this happen when someone dies a great, and horrible, and wonderful death. But sometimes the writers are just off, and those deaths end up being ridiculous, unbelievable, and kind of silly. We’ve rounded up the three deaths we think are the most ridiculous. Do you agree?

Kelly Andrews

The year was 2014, and the death was not believable. She was upset. She was with Jack Abbott for some time, and he made the decision to leave her. She was a little bit crazy, and she wasn’t all that great for him, so we got it. He decided that he didn’t want to be with her, but he also didn’t want to be alone. So he made things even worse when he went back to Phyllis. That set her off, so she made the decision to partner with Victor Newman and kidnap him. She tied him to a bed. She didn’t feed him, water him, or help him at all. But she did lie down with him at night and sleep with him. We suppose that was the next best thing in her mind to actually being with him, but then Jack woke up the following morning and she was just lying there all dead. And we don’t know what happened. He had no memory of any of it, and that was that. So, we are all just confused. It wasn’t dramatic or silly, but it wasn’t one that made any sense to us.

Austin

Remember that one time when all the young people in the show got together, had a party to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and then Austin was found dead in a chest the next day? We all remember that, and we all think that was one of the most ridiculous deaths. First, he was killed with a fire poker. He was killed. Then someone else was killed in the same manner. It’s not that we doubt this weapon can do that, but we do doubt the rest of the story. For one, it was a police officer. A cop who kills people via fire poker and uses it to make their lives end rather than his gun, or a knife or anything else? We don’t get it, and we don’t like it.

Diane Jenkins

Remember when she was facedown in the creek, dead? We all do, and we still don’t get it. She was a person who had her issues with the people on the show, but she died because of alcohol. It makes sense, but there was nothing else that really made sense about that. Nikki did it, but she didn’t remember it. She was drunk, and she killed the woman in self defense. But she was so drunk that she didn’t remember it, doesn’t know she did it, and she was barely even able to stand up and keep herself together. Yet she was able to find the strength to kill a woman in self-defense for something that she doesn’t even remember, doesn’t know she did, and didn’t have the energy to do? We still don’t like how it all ended and how it all went down because it doesn’t make any sense to us. It wasn’t a good enough explanation or situation for us. They could have done better with this one, if you ask us.
