The Best Uses of Kesha Songs in Movies or TV

Kesha is an educated woman if anyone was guessing, though she did drop out of college before her graduation to pursue her music career. It’s kind of hard to tell if she would have benefited from waiting or if it would have been a bad idea since her rise in the industry was pretty swift when Tik Tok came on the scene and people started listening. From that point on her career became something of an up and down rollercoaster as she would get really popular with one song and then kind of level out before hitting it big with another song. She’s won plenty of awards, gained many nominations, and been highly successful, but it almost seems as though she hits very high highs and then kind of coasts on the fame for a little while. It’s not a bad way to go really since she’s been around long enough to know how to make it work.

Here are some of her songs as they’ve been seen on TV and in movies.

5. Lip Sync Shorties Battle – Timber

You can’t really exclude kids when it comes to thing like lip syncing and playing around. Timber is one of those songs that’s just fun to sing and to dance to and since kids like to both quite often it’s one of the most perfect tracks to use for a show like this. For those kids that like to jam and just have a lot of fun this is something that they could get down with and fully enjoy. Plus the track has a quality to it that almost makes it sound like a fusion of something from a prior decade and the modern era, giving the nice feel of a throwback piece that’s a perfect blend of then and now.

4. The Big Bang Theory – Tik Tok

The Big Bang Theory was a show that kind of grated on some peoples’ nerves and really inspired others since it was kind of geared towards a certain audience that could understand the comedic performances and the attitudes of the characters. A lot of people came to love this show and were genuinely sad when the rumors started to fly that the final episodes were coming. There’d been a lot of laughter, some drama, and a lot of memories that were made during the years this show was on the air. Where everyone went is pretty easy to deduce but even easier is to think that none of them really had a tough time finding work since most of them were well-established before the show.

3. Neighbors – Die Young

If you want to feel old you live next to the younger generation that hasn’t yet experienced the changes in life that will give them the kind of insight that you’re slowly waking up to. Of course living next to a fraternity seems to be something that wouldn’t go over that well for many people that have already done the college thing and managed to grow up a bit. It also doesn’t help when the fraternity members go out of their way to make your life miserable and do so on a regular basis. Obviously this wouldn’t be as much of an issue in the real world but in a movie it’s bound to go over the top and be completely hilarious.

2. The Simpsons – Tik Tok

If you didn’t expect the Simpsons to pick up on one of the hottest artists of her time then you haven’t been watching the show long enough. This show has, throughout its long history, managed to pick up on just about every popular trend, artist, and movie that it could possibly utilize throughout its run at least once or twice. Seeing as how Kesha was one of the biggest artists to come out in her generation it was kind of obvious that the Simpsons would make note of this and find a way to use one of her songs in their show. To think that it was Lisa that would be singing it was only natural to be honest.

1. Ke$ha – We R Who We R

Kesha was kind of the social outcast in school as she’s relayed to people and just going by the fashions and way she looks in videos it’s kind of easy to see how her vibrant style would be kind of seen as odd and even a bit off-putting to some people. But then again there are a lot of people that would say that she was on the edge of fashion and at least being daring enough to do what she wanted and be herself. In truth there’s nothing truly wrong with showing your own sense of style and being brave enough to walk around so that people can see you. If they don’t like it that’s their problem.

But the party don’t stop, no.
