Like a lot of series on Bravo, Southern Charm is an unscripted series. To be exact, it is an unscripted series about socialites living in Charleston, SC, which focuses on both their personal and their professional lives in addition to a fair amount of coverage of local history as well as local politics. So far, Southern Charm has proven to be rather popular, as shown by the fact that it is now on its fifth season.
Here are five things that interested individuals can expect from Season 5 of Southern Charm:
Landon Clements Is Out
Some people might remember how Landon Clements became a main member of the cast in Season 2, serving as a replacement of sorts for Jenna King from Season 1. Unfortunately, if they are a fan, they will not be happy to know that she has left Southern Charm, meaning that she will no longer be part of the series from this point forward.
Chelsea Meissner Is Stepping Up
Speaking of which, Landon Clements will be replaced by Chelsea Meissner, who started showing up in Southern Charm in Season 4. However, whereas she was once a recurring member of the cast, she will now be a member of the main cast. Something that should come as welcome news to those who found her to be either likable or interesting to watch.
Cameran Eubanks Has a New Baby Girl
Cameran Eubanks has been a member of the main cast since Season 1. As a result, it is no exaggeration to say that she should be a rather familiar face. However, what is interesting is that she is now the proud mother of a baby girl named Palmer Corinne Wimberly, who will be showing up in Southern Charm.
Expect to See Her Neighbor’s Dog
With that said, interested individuals can expect to see a fair amount of Elvis, who is not Eubanks’s dog but rather her neighbor’s dog. Amusingly, Eubanks’s husband Jason is a huge fan of the dog, so much so that he interacts with Elvis on a daily basis. Moreover, Eubanks has joked about the lengths to which Jason will go for the sake of showing his love of the dog, with examples ranging from buying him really expensive dog food to actually having a portrait of Elvis commissioned. Luckily for him, Eubanks doesn’t seem to have a problem with the dog’s presence in her family’s lives, though she does seem to find her husband’s love for the dog to be a little bit silly, which is more than understandable under the circumstances.
The Same Old Drama
On a final note, people tend to watch unscripted series for the drama, with Southern Charm being no exception to this particular rule. Under the circumstances, it should come as no surprise to learn that Season 5 promises plenty of the same, as shown by the first episode, which has already revealed a number of big changes. Based on this, it seems safe to say that the season ahead will prove to be no less interesting.
