Someone Decided to Animate the Deadpool 2 Trailer

It’s not really known just who decided to make an animated version of the Deadpool 2 trailer but whoever it was, bravo. Obviously the words and actions don’t fit entirely but the ability to match up the animation to the trailer was pretty good. It had to have taken a while to get all these clips into order, so to speak, and make it work to the best possible degree. Also it looks like they got the old school Cable from the old X-Men cartoon in there, which is impressive since finding those clips is tough enough. But thankfully the Cable in the movie won’t look that much like the guy in the cartoons, because quite honestly that would be just weird.

So far Deadpool 2 looks absolutely awesome and seems like it will take on the comics universe in an even bigger way than the first movie did. Even bringing back the cabbie is a stroke of genius since Deadpool had such a rapport with him that it was kind of important to the movie at one point. But bringing in so many other characters is also going to be awesome since unless it’s not the case and the mutant he’s seeking to protect it someone else, it looks like the kid that Cable might be after could be Sunspot, a member of the New Mutants back in the day and a character that’s been popping up as of late in the X-Men movies. Also we’ll see Domino, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead is coming back as well. It’s not for sure if we get to see Colossus again, but we will see a couple of other mutants that look pretty cool so far.

The fact that Wade and Vanessa are still together is cool, as is the idea that Deadpool will be forming X-Force, a team that Cable and Domino ran for a while that also included a few other mutants that have been kicking around for a bit like Cannonball, Boom-Boom, and a few others. Given how much those groups have changed throughout the years though it’s hard to know just who we’re going to see and what kind of representation the group is really going to get in the movie. As of right now Cable seems more like the antagonist than anything, though in the comics he’s almost always been the hero or the antihero, the rough and tough guy that does things that make sense to him but no one else. Of course if you’d been ripped from your own time line and then learned how to go back and forth it could mess with your head a bit and your sense of reasoning could become the only means of surviving one encounter after another. In other words, Cable has had the kind of life that would make anyone else’s seem like a fairy tale by comparison.

But the fact remains that so far this movie looks awesome, and the animated trailer above is just another fun way to look at it.
