Who Should Play Steve in Blues Clues Reboot? Here are 5 Solid Choices

Blues Clues is coming back for a reboot and at this point the original host, Steve Burns, is starting to get just a tad bit old for the part. Some people might want to see him come back since he was the guy they all looked to when they were kids. And yet some people might actually decide that John Cena’s the guy they want to look up to, but aside from these two guys there are a lot of others that could be considered solid choices for the part simply because they’ve been in the acting game for a while and are able to adapt pretty readily to just about anything.

Here are a few people that could possibly make it work.

5. Daniel Radcliffe

Mr. Harry Potter himself has had a long history of entertaining kids from afar, perhaps this would be a good chance to see what he could do up close and personal. He’s got the kind of attitude that would make him a great teacher and would at the very least make him endearing to kids around the world. Can’t you just see him being able to flash that winning smile to charm the kids into learning?

4. Nicholas Hoult

Hoult has become more iconic in his serious roles and might not seem like the guy that could possibly pick up such a role. But if you’ve seen him as Hank McCoy, the non-furry version, you might get the idea that he has more of a range than you might think. Just thinking about how he could adapt to the small screen and cavort around with blue seems to be the kind of thing that he might be able to do.

3. Thomas Brodie-Sangster

Having started out as a kid star he has a pretty good idea of what children are wanting in their programs and would no doubt be able to give it to them. It would be a different kind of act from the Nanny McPhee movies and his role in Game of Thrones, but Sangster does seem like he’d be capable and possibly willing to take up the role.

2. Andrew Garfield

Andrew just has that friendly, non-threatening kind of look that would make him perfect as a host of a kids’ show. There’s not much doubt that he would be able to laugh along with the program and have a good time at least on the outside. Plus he kind of has the look that might endear him to the creators of the show, meaning that he’s not too big, he doesn’t look like he’d scare the kids, and his smile just seems contagious.

1. John Boyega

Boyega has shown that he’s a pretty serious actor, but this could be something to help him diversify his talents just a bit in order to make sure that he’s still capable of learning. Plus when he does calm down in his act he seems to have a very affable personality and could possibly relate to the kids on a very real level. It would be a bit of a stretch to just throw him in there but it does seem like it would work.

Of course there’s nothing wrong with assuming women could fulfill the role too, but in the spirit of the show it seems like a man might be what they want.
