Five Things You Didn’t Know about Michael Trucco

If you think that you’ve seen Michael Trucco around before then you’re probably right. He’s made his way through a number of shows and movies in which he’s often been put in the role of a guy that’s a huge jerk. He’s had other roles of course where he’s not so bad but for some reason he seems to play the part of the jerk so well that this is how he gets cast very often. Perhaps it’s his good looks and the ease with which he can play the self-assured individual that doesn’t let much of anything bother him. But regardless of that it is a role that does very well.

That kind of makes a person wonder what he’s like in real life.

5. He had aspirations to become a professional race car driver or a policeman.

His father is police officer so it might have been that he wanted to follow in his footsteps, but race car driving could have been a boyhood passion as well. Regardless he found his calling when it came to acting and hasn’t looked back all that often to wonder what could have been. Who knows, maybe if acting doesn’t pan out after a while or becomes something less than he wants then he could switch careers.

4. He was a guest star on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.

He played an absolutely diabolical individual that would drug women and then take them home to have sex with them. It was a hard case to crack since the women didn’t want to be reminded of the intense experience, and it was argued that he had a sex addiction. Eventually however it was discovered that his character had an ex-fiancee that broke up with him because he was so abusive. Most of the guest stars on SVU seem to end up as criminals.

3. He’s the lead guitarist of a band.

The band’s name is Simpleworld. A lot of actors have been part or are still part of a band at this point it would seem. Maybe it’s just a hobby for some but it really seems like a passion for a lot of them. In fact it almost seems like it might be something to take their mind off of their job and allow them to relax and help create something that doesn’t have anything to do with Hollywood.

2. He was an athlete in high school.

He played football and wrestled in high school so it’s safe to say that he’s always been in decent shape since both sports are pretty demanding when it comes to physical endurance. Having played football in the past I can attest to that fact that a lazy football player usually rides the bench more often than not.

1. He had a recurring role on Beverly Hills 90210.

As Josh Hunter he came in during season 8 and this could be where the people that run the Law and Order shows got the idea for him spiking the drinks of the women he raped. His character did the same thing in these shows.

Would that count as typecasting?
