Many things bring people together such as businesses, common enemies, studies, and even war. However, love is one of the few things that truly bound two people together, even when they are two worlds apart. At least before the bond breaks and each of them, or one of them starts to share it with someone else. However, love doesn’t have to always end up with a breakup when two parties are literally worlds apart. There are times when they both hold on into each other and just hope that when the time comes, they will enjoy their union as they did before. Such is the case as it’s depicted in the movie Submergence. The movie stars James McAvoy and Alicia Vikander.
Both James McAvoy and Alicia Vikander have had illustrious careers in blockbuster movies so far, where they have proved that they have the talents to bring to life the movies scripts they are given. Some of the movies that McAvoy has appeared in include “X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” where he stars as Professor “X,” and in the film “Glass,” which is a sequel to Unbreakable and Split. Vikander has also starred in Tomb Raider, and Jason Bourne. The two have now taken a break to take up roles in the film by Win Wenders, where we hope that their unique talents will shine again.
In Submergence, Daniel Flinder Vikander stars as Daniel Flinders and McAvoy star as James More, two stranger who after meeting in a hotel, fall in love, almost against their wishes. However, just as if the meeting in a Normandy Hotel was a sign, they again go separate ways. The distance between them is immensely great as they are separated by two continents. Will their love be strong enough to sustain the relationship in the coming days that will turn into months of uncertainty?
It’s not clear from the trailer how the story is going to unfold, but going by the official synopsis, things are bound to take an interesting turn. As the two lovebirds bid each other goodbye, we learn that James is an agent with the British secret service, and he is headed to Somalia. His mission is to help the government unearth how suicide bombers have managed to infiltrate Europe and cause havoc. Danielle or Danny, on the other hand is a bio-mathematician who is on a mission to get finding that will support her theory about life originating from the bottom of the sea.
Shortly afterwards, they are worlds apart, and there is no way to communicate after James gets take hostage by Somali Jihadist fighters. He has no way of contacting Danny. He can only hope that she will keep the love they professed to each other. On the other hand, Danny has to dive deep into the ocean not knowing what became of her newfound love. Overall, this film promises to combine the storyline with the two talented stars to deliver an amazing story of love and sacrifice. We hope that you look forward to this film as much as we do, after all love is universal.
