General Hospital fans know Drew is not ready to bond with his brother. He did learn that his brother helped him figure out how to get past the fact that he was considered deserted, but he’s not ready. He can’t just go meet with his twin and focus on his life and the things that he’s done in the few years he’s been his brother. This is all new and confusing to him, and he is appreciative of what Jason did. He’s just not ready to go there yet.
Will he ever be ready? Will he ever find it in himself to find out if there is a relationship to be had there? Can they find a reason to want to be friendly or to want to be someone they are not? Can they find a reason to want to deal with one another? Jason does want to get to know his brother more than his brother wants to know him, but he’s also known about this situation a lot longer.
And there is still time. They might end up eventually being the best of friends, but they might end up being the worst of enemies. We don’t know where this is going at this point, and we don’t know there is anything we can do about it. There’s too much at stake here, and there’s something in us that believes Drew just won’t be ready anytime in the near future. Especially if Sam leaves him for Jason this time.
