2019 is already looking like a year to anticipate in terms of movies that will be able to knock people’s socks off. If the pictures and plot details that we’re already getting are any indication then movie goers are in for a treat. Unfortunately 2019 is a bit of a ways away but one thing that movie production companies are good at is keeping us on our toes until official release dates. Here are some of the titles that will be coming in 2019 that a lot of people are already looking forward to.
Hellboy
This new version of Hellboy is going to be darker and possibly have an R rating, so you know it’s going to be a lot more intense.
Glass
Bringing back the main characters from Unbreakable and Split, this movie is bound to be an epic confrontation that will pit the worst against the best.
The LEGO Movie Sequel
There’s more fun to be had as the LEGO sequel kicks off and incorporates an entire cast full of memorable characters once again.
Bride of Frankenstein
It’ll be interesting to see how the director of this film manages to bring the bride of one of the most notorious film monsters to life.
How to Train Your Dragon 3
There’s plenty more adventures for Hiccup and Toothless to undertake, especially now that he’s become the chieftain.
Captain Marvel
One of the most powerful figures in Marvel comics is finally coming to the forefront to take her rightful place among the heroes.
Godzilla:King of Monsters
This will no doubt be another chance for Godzilla to flex his monstrous muscles, but if Kong is in the neighborhood it remains to be seen just who will be crowned the king.
Dumbo
Supposedly this might be a live action film that is on the way but we’ll have to wait and see just how the film makers are going to swing it.
Shazam!
This goes to show that there’s never a moment when there aren’t superheroes to bring into the cinematic fold.
The Voyage of Dr. Dolittle
It’ll be interesting to see Robert Downey Jr. do something than Iron Man for a change.
Fast & Furious 9
I kind of get the feeling that this franchise needs to end eventually, especially now that Dom has a child and far more to lose.
Avengers 4
This should be the second installment of the Infinity War, and a very telling tale of just who will survive and who will be put to rest finally.
John Wick Chapter 3
It’s going to be John Wick vs. the world more or less. Don’t count Wick out just yet though.
Aladdin
A live action story of this epic tale could be very interesting though it might need a spectacular actor for the genie.
Toy Story 4
You would have thought that Toy Story 3 would have left things on a good note, but apparently there’s more to be gained from another film.
Cowboy Ninja Viking
We might not know what this is about just yet, but it looks as though it will be starring Chris Pratt so it could be good.
Transformers 7
Perhaps we’ll finally get to see Unicron emerge, and bid a final farewell to Quintessa.
The Secret Life of Pets 2
Not much is known about this one yet but if it’s even half as funny as the first one it should be good.
Spiderman: Homecoming 2
There are always plenty of Spiderman villains to showcase, but unfortunately the chances of seeing Venom or Carnage or not good.
Top Gun 2
This could be a return to a great movie that many people will enjoy, but seeing as how the original cast are all older now it would be a lot different and the majority of them might not be ace pilots anymore.
The Lion King
Disney is really getting into the live action theme now which is nice. But too much could possibly ruin the franchise.
Artemis Fowl
This has been a long awaited moment by fans, but they’ll have to just keep waiting for a little while.
Gemini Man
It’s been a while since we’ve really seen Will Smith do anything, so this might be a pleasant change of pace.
James Bond
Of course Bond has to continue, he’s a virtual cash cow. So long as they can keep coming up with missions and new actors it shouldn’t stop anytime soon.
Frozen 2
No one really knows what the plot is but it’s guaranteed that a new wave of little girls will be fully excited to see this one come out.
Wonder Woman 2
There’s still a huge gap of time in between the original movie and where her character currently is to fill in, so there’s a lot of material.
Masters of the Universe
If this is going to be a live action then it needs to be done with a great amount of care and a lot of attention to detail. It also needs to be updated.
Star Wars Episode 9
Fans are going to be drooling over the completion of the epic trilogy and will no doubt be looking forward right after episode 8 hits theaters.
You would have thought that Shrek had it all now, but maybe there’s something else that needs to be done.
Some of these movies look like they might be blockbusters, while others make you wonder why the studios are bothering.
