It’s exciting when you’re expecting a new baby in the house and everyone usually goes nuts trying to figure out what to do for the baby, what kind of things to get them, and what kind of decorations to put in their room. If you didn’t know already then it’s safe enough to assume that a Disney theme of some sort is the best bet to appease most people. It’s not everyone’s thing but it’s also so open since it offers up a lot of different themes that you can use. Here are just a few that you might want to think about. Remember that variations are a good thing and are usually a matter of personal preference and taste.
Here are some of our picks for the best Disney themed nurseries out there:
Finding Nemo is an excellent choice since it allows you to explore a more ocean motif and thus opens up a whole laundry list of possibilities. A oceanic-looking bedroom could also be quite soothing to an infant, especially with a wave machine to help with the actual feel of it.
The Peter Pan feel is always a good idea if you’re into it since it’s playful and very easy to accomplish. Wall decals such as this are easy to put up and can usually be moved later on if you want.
You can also just go for broke and combine a number of different themes together for stunning display that lets people know that you aren’t going to be bound by one singular theme and would rather your child get to know as much of the Disney world as possible.
And of course you can always go back to the old school Disney and just feature Mickey Mouse around the room in several different variations. Nothing wrong with keeping it simple after all.
Sometimes all you need to make a Disney-inspired room is a cool graphic that tends to dress up a single wall and establish a definite presence in the room.
You don’t see many Mary Poppins inspired rooms but the decal is quite nice and the slogan is a good fit for any nursery. The blue is also very calming.
It’s hard to deny that Peter Pan is an excellent choice for a nursery. The images from the movie are just so easy to use and the carefree feel of the film is something that can easily translate to a child of any age.
This is a very well-done design but it’s also something you might want to consider hiring a professional for since there’s no decal this big and measuring out the space needed for this picture and getting the dimensions right could be tricky.
It’s nice and simple, it’s clean, and it’s a great slogan for kids and adults alike. Why make everything so busy and confusing when all you need is a single graphic that makes so much sense?
This is one of the more unusual nursery designs but it is surprisingly nice and neat. There’s really no excess to be found in this design unless you don’t happen to like an abundance of black in a nursery. Some parents would go for this without question while the rest would look at them in amazement.
Disney themes for a nursery just seem right even if you’re not big into commercialism.
