Young and the Restless fans want to know one thing: Is Victor going to deny his grandchildren a chance to be part of his life? He’s already cut himself off from Nick and others in his life, but will he allow his grandchildren to end their relationship with him, too? It turns out Victor has a more loving relationship with the kids. He does want to be a part of their lives, and he will tell his son — now ex-son as they are calling it — that his kids are always welcome to spend time with him at the ranch. He loves the kids and wants to spend their lives with them.
Nick seems to agree with his father that this is important, but we have a hard time with this one. What parent doesn’t trust their own parent and refuses to have a relationship with them but allows their kids to continue? It seems a little contrived to us, but we aren’t television stars, so what do we know?
We know that this is a relationship that won’t stay broken for very long. Whatever happens in the near future is going to cause this family a chance to see things more clearly. We have a feeling they will be back to being all happy and well with one another before much longer. It’s the way they work, after all. They aren’t a family of quitters in any sense. So we predict a reconciliation in the near future.
