There’s a New Kim Kardashian Musical: No We’re Not Joking

Is her popularity waning or something? Why else would such a thing be coming out when the last attempt she made at grabbing this kind of attention failed abysmally? You know, the book of selfies? Somehow it’s easy to assume that only she and the most diehard, forgiving fans, namely people she could convince to buy the wretched thing, would even bother wasting their time and money on it. But a musical? Really? Now let’s look a little deeper into it and discover what it’s about and why you might be laughing as hard as I did after really understanding what it’s all about.

So what’s the musical about?

In some weird way it is about the relationship between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries.

If you know anything about the engagement and marriage of Nets player Kris Humphries to Kim Kardasian then you might get the idea that their courtship would perhaps inspire a musical but their marriage would be better represented by the song Click Click Boom. Seriously, they courted for 90 days and then only lasted for 72. Is that a surprise to anyone? How much can you possibly get to know someone in three months? And then they split up for “irreconcilable differences” which could mean virtually anything. Being married or even connected to Kardashian seems like it would be a severe migraine just waiting to happen, but writing a musical about it you would think would elicit more shrill sounding cries like Yoko Ono trying to pretend she can sing. Yeah, that seems like it would be a more accurate soundtrack.

The creators are actually hoping to get a reaction from Kim Kardashian no matter if it’s good or bad.

There’s no such thing as bad publicity right? Freedom of expression, freedom of artistic license and all that, it should be able to protect them from being sued against libel yeah? Well they certainly hope so. But in the meantime they’re just hoping that they’ll attract Kardashian’s notice at all since they are attempting to become more well known so that they might gain a bit of notoriety. As one of the main actors has already said people love to hate Kim Kardashian right now, it’s so easy and it seems to be a national pastime with a lot of people. Maybe that will give the musical the boost it really needs. Stop rolling your eyes, they’re actually very serious.

Why Kim Kardashian?

As it was already pointed out Kim is the one person that seems to be unilaterally hated in America right now and this troupe is doing their best to get noticed. Creating a musical about a moment in celebrity history that very few people seem inclined to remember might not be the right vehicle to launch their success but it is a shot in the dark, a cry in the windstorm that they are more than willing to make. They are seriously hoping that Kim Kardashian gives it even the slightest bit of notice.

Just when you thought you’d seen it all.
