Days of Our Lives fans know that Jennifer is very interested in pursuing a relationship with Eric, and now that he’s made progress with himself it’s finally possible. But what she’s going to find this week will break her heart. We all know he feels worse than anyone could ever imagine about what happened when he made the decision to drive drunk and Daniel died. He’s tried a thousand times to apologize to Nicole, but it never worked. He killed her fiancé and took her future from her. When Jennifer discovers the dozens of letters he wrote to her in an attempt to apologize, her heart breaks.
She’s so upset for him, but reading the letters he wrote and never gave to Nicole makes her think that there is more to it than just remorse and regret and an apology. He is still in love with her, and the contents of his letters tells Jennifer this is more than just a little apparent. We don’t know how or where she finds these letters, but we do know that she’s going to read them — and probably ask him about them.
We can’t imagine he will be overly pleased that someone is reading the words he feels he cannot say correctly or get right, and he won’t love that she’s in his business. Could their relationship be over before it even has a chance to begin? Can she accept this, and who will tell Nicole about all of it? Will she ever know?
