Lately, there seems to be a never-ending influx of British actors into the Hollywood spotlight. There was Idris Elba, the Charlie Hunnam the scene, with both having their unique appeal to the fairer sex. The term heartthrob is being tossed around when it comes to British actors, as of late, and they just keep coming. The latest British actor to stake their claim to the hearts of American women is Ben Robson, 32. He established a name for himself in his star role in the show History’s Vikings, and now he has moved into the bad boy role in the new series, Animal Kingdom.
Robson plays a troublemaking member of a highly twisted crime family, and this show will definitely drive up his stock as one of the latest Hollywood breakout stars.

1. He Discovered His Passion Acting Later Than Usual
While many actors and actresses will tell you that they have been dreaming about show business as far back as they can remember, Robson says that he didn’t even know that he wanted to be an actor until he had left school. He admits that he got into acting very late in the game, relatively speaking. He says that he completed college at 25, and then told his parents that he felt he needed to be doing something different, and he chose to enter acting school, and the rest is history.
2. He Made His Debut on Dracula: The Dark Prince
He said that this role was huge for him because as he was sitting in Romania, along with the director and producer of the film, he was advised that he would be co-starring with John Voight. The idea of making his acting debut with such a legend. After all, this is the father of Angelina Jolie – that alone stands for something. John Voight is an Oscar winner. 3. He Is An Excellent Soccer Player
It turns out that wielding a heavy sword while playing the role of a Viking is not the only skill that Ben possesses. He is actually a good soccer player, and he likes to talk about all of the trick kicks he knows how to execute. He reveals that one of the reasons that most people are unaware of his talent is because there are simply not a lot of roles for soccer players currently open in Hollywood, and his goal is to keep working consistently.

He says that when you get to do something that you love doing, you develop an appreciation for others who enjoy what you do at any level. He says that he absolutely loves speaking with the fans and others who are supportive of the work he is doing.
5. He Has Aspiration to Direct One Day
While Robson definitely enjoys acting, he says that he would love to take on the challenge of writing, and his ultimate goal would be to direct. He says that it will probably be a while before he takes on that challenge. He wants to take the time to learn more about his craft before taking on such a lofty goal. The more of the greats he has the opportunity to work with, the more he will learn, preparing him for that next step.
