General Hospital fans are dying to know what’s going on with Nina and Valentin. We all know it’s only a matter of time before he leaves her for Anna — even though it’s actually Alex — or they take him down so far their marriage is ruined. Nina knows he’s not being entirely faithful to her, and she’s tired of being second best to the woman she believes is Anna. She wants her husband to stop seeing her, but she’s learned the hard way that she won’t. This is not what will happen when she asks him to listen to her and respect her. But she has the little girl to think of. She wants to make Charlotte her own, and that’s something she can’t do without being married to her father.
Regardless, she’s telling Valentin she’s leaving him. She won’t say divorce, only that she is taking off and she’s done with their marriage. She is not going to be a secondary wife to him while he is off with Anna doing what he pleases when he pleases. The only thing that she’s underestimated is the fact that he doesn’t care. Valentin has absolutely no feelings for Nina. He’s got her as a wife because he needs her to help him portray a specific image, and it’s not working. Now he’ll probably just let her go. He’s not interested in anything else from her, so it might work out for all of them if she continues to go about her merry way.
But what about the baby? Will she take her with her? Valentin makes a halfhearted attempt to get her to stay, and she’s not fooled by it. She knows he wants to be with Anna, and she’s going to let him, but we know she won’t let that little girl go so easily. Will she make a point to take her, or will he catch on to her game before she has the chance to make it obvious? She’s not going to do well by crossing him, but she seems to feel she has a better chance at crossing him than others.
