The Terminator’s “Hasta La Vista, Baby” The Spanish Language Version Of T2 Is a Little Off

The line that Arnold Schwarzenegger that is known for more than others with regard to his 80s action movie dominance is “I’ll be back.”  However, many would argue that “Hasta La Vista” is his number one.  I’m personally a huge fan of “Get to the choppa!”  Put it this way, there are about 25 quotes that you simply cannot go wrong with when thinking of vintage Arnold Schwarzenegger.   However, it’s just been released that for whatever reason in the Spanish version of Terminator 2: Judgement Day, that instead of the line “Hasta la Vista, baby” something else is used.

It’s been going around the internet for the past 24 hours because it’s really absurd.  I’m not sure who signed off on this but A. they should be ashamed of themselves and B. they should thank their lucky stars because they’ve given us ample chances at entertainment over the weekend.

Here’s the English version

Here’s the Spanish version.

WTF?  “Sayonara baby?”  Isn’t this the actual Spanish version hence using Spanish makes plenty of sense?  Although I have a pretty great idea for the internet now.  It’s time to make countless videos of Arnold saying this line in different iterations and languages.  I’m calling for someone to make a supercut of different “Hasta La Vista” languages.  Someone get on this and pronto.
