Big Night on SNL: Jimmy Fallon Hosts and Harry Styles Debuts as Solo Singer

For the first time in the history of Saturday Night Live, the show will be airing live from coast to coast.  NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt released the following statement about the time shift in showings:  SNL is part of the national conversation. We thought it would be a great idea to broadcast to the West and Mountain time zones live at the same time it’s being seen in the East and Central time zones.

I’m curious.  How has this never happened before?  It’s not like this is a novel idea.  I don’t get it.   Anyway, it’s a brand new episode being hosted by none other than The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.   Fallon was a fan favorite as an SNL cast member from 1998-2004.   His biggest success probably came from The Weekend Update but Fallon had numerous characters that contributed to his success.

For tonight’s musical guest, Harry Styles will be making his debut as a solo artist, who recently dropped his first ballad “Sign of the Times”.

Check out the trailer for tonight’s show and an audio video of Styles’ new song below.

Styles will perform his new hit, along with a second song that has not been revealed. Styles’ new self-titled album is due to be released May 12, 2017 via Columbia Records.
