It’s taken me some time to warm up to the show Friends but syndication has been a very good friend to me. It’s not that I never watched Friends before but as you get older characters evolve. What was once your favorite character because you were in your 20s might now be your least favorite character now because you’re in your 30s, and vice versa. For example I couldn’t stand Phoebe years ago, and now I think she’s one of the better characters.
But I think it’s safe to say that Chandler Bing was always solid. My only beef with Chandler is that when he began his relationship with Monica he turned into a complete softy and got way too romantic and sensitive. We were still treated to his neurotic tendencies but they were toned down way too much.
