Not sure if any of you have ever heard of the show The Weekly with Charlie Pickering. It’s an Australian based show that’s someone similar to Last Week Tonight With John Oliver. There’s also a Daily Show element to the show as well. Bottom line is that is has very similar features, interviews, segments, and so forth. One of the guests of the show was none other than actress Sophie Monk.
Monk’s never really quite gotten into the mainstream as far as her acting career and the last really significant roles she had were in 2006 and 2007 (Date Movie). However the blond still models and is still a well known name. Monk appeared on the show to be interviewed and comedian Tom Gleeson thought he was sitting down for an interview in which he’d be roasting her.
Gleeson did do his fair share of roasting but it was Monk who got in the last laugh nearly every time. Sophie was witty, quick, and essentially threw every single roast comment right back into Gleeson’s face. It actually got so bad that Gleeson had to pause midway to laugh.
