When children are asked what they want to be when they grow up, the most common answers are usually things like “police officer” or “fireman.” But you’ll always get a few kids who say things like “I want to be Superman when I grow up!” or insert any superhero you want and that works as well too. However, when you reach a certain age in life you put those dreams aside and pursue other endeavors. But not this guy. While I assume he’s old enough to understand he’ll never be Superman, that didn’t stop him from becoming literally the world’s biggest Superman fan. Move over Jerry Seinfeld because Marco Superman Zorzin has stepped in.
Zorzin has officially been named the world’s biggest Superman fan by the Guinness Book of World Records. He has more than 2,000 items in his collection and he’s been collecting Superman memorabilia for 21 years. In case you are wondering why his middle name is “Superman” it’s because it is, legally. We even have the guy’s driver’s license as proof of his name.
Honestly I don’t know how to feel about all of this. A couple of years ago I would have made fun of Marco but in today’s day and age, what the hell. Good for you buddy. At least on your death bed someday you can say, “I may not have had much and I may not have become the man I wanted to be, but at least I was the biggest Superman fan in the entire world.”
