If you had ever asked me if there’d be a day on the internet where Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst was successfully mashed up with Kirby from Super Smash Bros I would have said “Get outta town!” But as it turns out, dreams do in fact come true. While it’s perfectly OK to assume that there isn’t much overlap between Limp Bizkit frontman Durst and Nintendo’s Kirby, you’d be surprised at what a little creative listening can do.
If you want to conjure up images of Kirby that you never thought were possible, this is a mashup you might want to consider. YouTube user matrixmonster110 has struck gold by mixing Kirby’s “Dream Land” theme from Super Smash Bros. with Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff.” At first glance, reading that is weird enough, but when you actually see that it works? That’s when things get super creepy.
P.S. where is Fred Durst? I used to love Limp Bizkit. Did they just not have staying power? I mean I’m sure they still perform and stuff but these guys were pretty up there at one point. Oh well.
