Adrian Peterson is approaching 32-years-old which in running back NFL years is ancient. Considering the average career span of an NFL player is 3 years, it’s practically half of that for a running back. But AP is here to prove everyone wrong that he’s on the decline in his career. While he’s no James Harrison with his workout videos, Peterson put together a pretty solid display for everyone in the NFL and public to see.
In the footage you are about to see, AP knocks out 23 reps on the bench press and it appears he’s pushing 225. To mortals that’s an obscene amount. For an NFL player it’s probably a number he should get. But it’s what he does right after the bench that’s impressive. He grabs the squat bar, loads it up with another 50 pounds, and starts doing box jumps. Peterson added a message, “Not on a decline, rather an incline! 32 in a few weeks and still schooling!”
It’s one thing to work out in a gym and impress. It’s another to run through an entire defensive line like he could nearly 10 years ago. While I wouldn’t put AP to high up on my fantasy chart, you never know what he’s capable of producing. Here’s the video:
