I’d like to launch an internet investigation into the time David Boreanaz spent on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The movie turned show is coming up on its 20th anniversary this month and when asked about a potential reunion this is what Boreanaz had to say:
No, never; that’s done, see ya, next. I have no problem with the cult audience, and I would totally get back into the genre, but I’m not a big reunion guy. I tend to like to go forward. I don’t like to go backward–except when I’ve got ice skates on my feet and I’m playing hockey.
I have to say that I respect that answer, I truly do. And it’s not like he hasn’t been asked it before. I suppose when people keep bringing up Buffy the Vampire Slayer when you’ve been on Bones for what feels like over 20 seasons, it can get aggravating.
Still though, it just seems that Boreanaz gets pretty annoyed whenever Buffy is brought up. Hopefully he just meant reunion episodes and not doing anything about the show turning 20 but tell me this guy isn’t pissed and I’d call you a liar.
