I said I wouldn’t be posting many more Oscar related posts but come on. This is Donald Trump we’re talking about. I’m sure it’s taking him every single ounce of strength in those little hands of him to keep off his Twitter account in response to all the Oscars comments aimed towards him. Perhaps the best Oscars moment aimed at President Trump came from host Jimmy Kimmel. It was far and away the most personal.
As the Awards show was getting later and later, Kimmel decided to whip out his smart phone and give the President a little shout out. Nothing fancy. Nothing mean. Just a little “are you up?” type of a post.
The best thing about it is that it went up on the big screen at the awards for everyone to see. Within minutes the tweet had gotten retweeted over 200,000 times. The only thing in the President’s twitter feed at the time was a dinner that Trump had with Governors at the White House.
If Donald Trump doesn’t respond to Kimmel’s tweet or doesn’t mention the Oscar’s today that might easily be the biggest surprise of this administration so far.
