A Trump-approved New York Times Commercial by Jimmy Fallon

After the Trump Administration has made enemies out of just about every single major news outlet, The New York Times decided to hit back this week.   The media titan unveiled a splashy new ad campaign this week as well as Oscars commercial which emphasize the importance of journalism in our world today.   However, Jimmy Fallon tries to imagine what this commercial would look like if it got into the hands of Donald Trump.

On Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show, Fallon presented a faux Times commercial that Trump ostensibly made a few edits to. “In today’s world, journalism is more important than ever,” a narrator says over stock footage of busy printing presses. “And the New York Times is your source for top-notch reporting each and every day.” Right on cue, a clip of Trump cuts in and blurts, “Wrong!” “Our reporters won’t rest until they deliver the truth right to your front door,” the commercial says. “Fake news!” Trump counters.
