Before we even dive into how appropriately funny this Pokemon video by Dorkly is, I think we should identify somewhat what the Pokemon Universe is. Bulbapedia defines it as “The Pokémon world is the main planet where humans and Pokémon live. The Pokémon world looks and acts like the real world in terms of geography. Each have landforms, oceans of water and temperatures to support life, meaning that the Pokémon world is about the same size and same distance from the sun as the real world. Humans and nature in the Pokémon world are linked to each other, as many towns are built around the natural environment. ”
There’s considerably more to it but the main point of this is that humans and Pokemon coexist. If we really think about that then it’s easy to make a whole bunch of parodies where crossing human and Pokemon leads to chaos, but more importantly humor. The folks at Dorkly have been doing these videos for a while and their latest parody is golden.
What would happen if you had real life jobs in the Pokemon Universe? Dorkly takes a look at four scenarios that would be awful in the Pokemon Universe. The first job is Landscaping. The second is personal training. The third is dog walking. And the last one is Cycle Class Instruction. I’m sure there are others but these four will certainly keep you busy for a while.
