I’ve actually mentioned this today. For the most part, the news is too negative. Every time we put on the nightly or morning news it’s littered with negativity. Whether it’s a murder, political bomb or just tragedy in general, the news needs to be more positive and frankly helpful. Want to see something amazing from the news? Parents everywhere pay attention.
Given that most parents have access to their kids phones these days, the smart little buggers have invented secret codes with emoji symbols so that even if a parent is reading their texts, they have no idea what their kids are texting with their friends. Well, that’s until now. According to Uproxx
Teens are using emojis to communicate in secret, and it goes way beyond just a simple eggplant or peach emoji that your mom friends may have told you about. As reporter John Hopperstad explains, often it’s a combination of emojis that teens use as a code to put one past old mom and dad. For instance, a face with a zipper over the mouth next to a couple holding hands could mean, “Don’t tell your parents what we’re gonna do,” and by “what we’re gonna do” it’s pretty clear that he means “do sex.”
And these are not the only examples. There are more signs, darker ones that are more dangerous and cryptic. Folks, watch this video, you need to.
