Stephen Colbert Welcomes Presidential Jon Stewart on The Late Show

Everyone has sincerely missed Jon Stewart since he retired from The Daily Show but fans who watch Stephen Colbert on The Late Show were treated to an appearance by the politically hilarious former host.  This isn’t the first time that Colbert and Stewart have teamed up on late night but it’s the first time that Jon Stewart has appeared on a talk show since the Trump administration began.  And Stewart wasted no time in walking out on stage with a fake hair piece AKA “dead animal” reminiscent of our President’s.

It didn’t take long for the two to get off course.  Stewart was initially reading out Trump’s next set of executive orders but the two have so much chemistry that it was simply a pleasure watching the two work off each other.   After the humor was over, Stewart did in fact get serious by saying,  “No one action will be adequate. All actions will be necessary,” he reminds America, offering up a few seconds of rhetorical hope that could easily qualify as a moment of zen.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I wish Jon Stewart were back on television and dare I say Stewart make a presidential run in 2020?  While all of this is highly unlikely, if Trump could do it, why couldn’t Stewart?  Enjoy his return below.
